Recipe: Savoury Bread
Super simple recipe for a ridiculously yummy pie/quiche like bread thingy. Prefect for light lunches. Best served warm, however my sister eats them out of the fridge.
What you need:
- 8-10 pieces of stale bread
- 4 eggs
- 250ml milk
- salt & pepper to taste
- shredded cheddar cheese *as much as you like
- optional filling: mushroom & chicken, corn & chicken, mushroom & tuna, etc.
What to do:
- preheat oven to 180*c
- grease tray
- cut bread into cubes or shred it for a more rustic version
- in a bowl beat eggs, milk, salt & pepper
- mix bread with the wet ingredients
- mix in 1/2 of the shredded cheese, scatter the other 1/2 on top
- bake for 20-25 mins
- serve with fresh salad
